Is the world ready?

The world’s biggest beverage company Coca-Cola is said to be in talks with cannabis company Aurora Cannabis Inc. to develop cannabis-infused drinks.

BNN Bloomberg says Coca-Cola is interested in developing the drinks which a source has said will fall into the ‘recovery drink’ category.

The drinks will be expected to ease inflammation, pain and cramping.

Although the company refused to comment on the story, a spokesperson Kent Landers sent a statement to BNN Bloomberg saying:

Along with many others in the beverage industry, we are closely watching the growth of non-psychoactive CBD as an ingredient in functional wellness beverages around the world. The space is evolving quickly. No decisions have been made at this time.
