Shina Peller Arrested & Quilox Night Club Has Been Shut Down

One of the most visited night clubs in Lagos, Quilox, has been shut down by the Lagos state government.

The club, which is located in Victoria Island, Lagos, was reported to have been sealed by the state’s government for polluting the environment with their activities.

This was announced in a tweet by the SA to the governor on new media, Jubril Gawat. The SA revealed that the club was sealed for Noise Pollution and Traffic Congestion.

The club, which recently held a 36-hour non-stop party, is owned by House of Reps. member, Shina Peller.

Announcing the news on Twitter, Gawat wrote:

“BREAKING NEWS: The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (@LasepaInfo) has sealed popular Club Quilox, Victoria Island over Noise Pollution and Traffic Congestion. #ForAGreaterLagos”

In a series of tweets by Oyo state lawmaker, Akin Alabi, he revealed that Shina Peller was detained at Maroko police station, while trying to secure the bail of customers that were illegally arrested. He wrote:

“So founder of Quilox and House of Representatives member, @ShinaPeller went to bail his customers that were illegally arrested… then the Police at Maroko police station detained him as well. Police brutality knows no status.

We are on our way to Panti. First of all, the cars of the customers were towed and seized for violating traffic. FINE. But they were arrested and told to pay N100,000 bribe. Why one earth do you need to pay the police a bribe after your car has already been seized.

You arrest those parked on the road. Someone goes to bail the people arrested. You arrest the person to. That summarizes why @ShinaPeller was arrested.”
