Presently, there is a palpable display of great excitement and joy in Plateau State and Nigeria at large as Dung Musa Davou is selected as one of the Referees to officiate the 2020 Futsal Cup of Nation which is to hold in Morocco.
CAF Futsal Referees course held at Johannesburg, South Africa at Southern Sun Hotel on the occasion of the CAF Futsal Referees course 2019 in preparation for the Selection of Referees for the African Cup of Nation “Morocco 2019”, to hold in Morocco from 28th January to 7th February 2020.
Out of the twenty-six participants in the course from different countries it is expected that 12 will be selected for the tournament.
Among the technical instructors is Mr. Pedro Galant from Spain, while the physical instructor is Dereck Henson from South Africa.
Sixteen were awarded certificate of attendance for the course, out of the sixteen, only eight were awarded certificate of fitness for passing the physical fitness test in which FIFA Dung Musa Davou is among those that passed the physical fitness test.
The 2020 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations will be the 6th edition of the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, the quadrennial international futsal championship organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the men’s national teams of Africa.
The tournament will now be held in Morocco between 28 January – 7 February 2020 (original dates were 17–26 April 2020).
Same as previous editions, the tournament acts as the CAF qualifiers for the FIFA Futsal World Cup (except for 2012 when a separate qualifying tournament was organized as the 2011 African Futsal Championship was canceled).
The top three teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania as the CAF representatives.
Morocco is the defending champion.
