After concluding investigations, Sao Paulo police have closed the rape allegation case against Brazil and Paris Saint-German football player Neymar, for lack of evidence, AFP is reporting.

Brazilian model, Najila Trindade had accused Neymar of sexual assault in a hotel in Paris, France in May.

It was in June however that the investigation began. The case was closed after lead investigator Juliana Lopes Bussacos, concluded her report.

The police will send its report to prosecutors for review which will take 15 days maximum, but final decision, however, will be made by a judge.
