Nigerian singer, Burna Boy is currently trending on social media after he revealed in a recent interview that Ghana is the only place he enjoys peace.
While most Nigerians are fond of hyping their country no matter the situation, it appears Burna Boy is keeping it real regardless of whose ox may be gored in this situation.
During his recent interview on Apple Music Beat 1, he stated that Ghana is the place he prefers to begin every new year because he gets genuine peace in the country.
Burna Boy explained that any time he sits at the Labadi Beach and looks the point which separates the sea from the sky, he feels like God lives there.
Burna Boy showering praises on Ghana comes as no surprise having met his soulmate, British rapper Steflon Don, in the Ghana’s capital Accra, during the 2019 new year holiday.
While some people bashed him for another country over his, others, however, agreed with him stating that Nigeria is indeed toxic.
This revelation comes after he emerged winner in the BET Best International Act award category. Burna Boy floored Teni Makanaki and Mr. Eazi to win the coveted category in the award.
The award was received by his mum who also doubles as his manager. ‘Every black person should remember, you were Africans before you became anything else,’ the singer’s mum tells Africans in diaspora in her acceptance speech.
