Nigeria’s second-largest telecommunications operator, Globacom, garnered 78 percent of new data subscriptions in March.
The operator gained nearly one million new subscribers in the month. This was disclosed in the latest statistics released by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for the March.
According to the statistics, Globacom gained 950,115 new internet users, taking its total internet subscriptions to 28,436,386 from 27,486,271 recorded in February.
Two other operators, MTN and Airtel, also featured marginally on the gainers’ list in March.
MTN NG:
As an MTN user, you don’t need anyone to tell you that your data sim should be different from your normal day to day sim. Your data sim should be eligible for double data offer otherwise, get a new MTN sim.
Every new and existing MTN sim are eligible for the cheapest MTN data offer seen below:

MTN Night Plan
MTN night plan on Pulse tariff plan has been a life safer until when it was reviewed downward to 125MB for N25 and 250MB for N50. Subscribers weren’t happy and decided to abandon the plan completely.
However, MTN has decided to review the plan again upward probably because they are losing pulse tariff customers; you can now get 250MB for N25 as well as 500MB for N50.
To subscribe to MTN night tariff plan, dial *406# and reply with 4.
If you are a heavy user, and you want something big, then I’ll recommend you go for a third party data reseller here.
Airtel NG:
For Airtel users, you might want to consider Airtel binge as it is the most recommended plan on Airtel Network right now.

How to Get Airtel Binge 2GB for N500

Glo NG:
The disaster that just happened to Glo is the introduction of 1GB for N300 and the validity is 24hours. This is not nice and I won’t be using it anytime soon because it’s a complete waste of money. At least validity should have been something like 3 – 7 days.
To enjoy the best cheapest data plan on Glo network, you need to get a new Glo sim that is eligible for OgaSim double data offer if your normal sim is no longer eligible. As a subscriber on Glo network, N1000 data will only give you 1.6GB without any bonus. But with OgaSim, you get an extra bonus of 2GB data.
If the Glo network is superb in your location, then you can bear the pain of getting a new Glo SIM, and enjoy all the OgaSim and Yakata bonus offers.
Dial *777# to choose your desired package.
9mobile NG:
On 9mobile network, the best data to go for is 1GB for N200. Simply dial *929*10# to get activated… dial *228# for data balance. The good news is that it doesn’t zap.
