New reports have said that world’s richest man and founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos was having an affair with TV host Lauren Sanchez while married to Mackenzie Bezos.

Jeff and Mackenzie announced Wednesday that they are divorcing, adding that they have been separated for a while.

Sources close to Jeff however told TMZ that the relationship with Lauren began after Jeff and Mackenzie’s separation.

Lauren also, according to sources who spoke to TMZ, was separated from her husband, mega-agent Patrick Whitesell before the affair started.

TMZ’s sources say Jeff and MacKenzie have known Lauren and Patrick as good friends for 10 years.

National Enquirer who first broke the news, says that the relationship began before both couples separated and they have proof.

The National Enquirer publication which is found in its latest issue released today, said that its team tracked Jeff and Lauren across five states and 40,000 miles, tailed them in private jets, swanky limos, helicopter rides, romantic hikes, five-star hotel hideaways, intimate dinner dates and “quality time” in hidden love nests.

While TMZ’s sources say Patrick and Mackenzie have known of the relationship for months, National Enquirer says they only just found out and that’s what led to Jeff and Mackenzie’s announcement about getting a divorce.

TMZ also reports that Jeff and MacKenzie did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement before their marriage, which means Jeff’s $137 billion fortune, by all rights, will be split in half, making MacKenzie the richest woman in the world.

The couple will also have to split assets, including the 400,000 acres of property they own.
