New Poem “Justice” by Umar Yogiza Jr.

Somewhere justice was kidnapped
without ransom, by its guidance.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere justice is forlorn,
sick of an unknown illness.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere justice is hospitalized
in a dilapidated, disused hospital.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere justice is fighting a war
that can never be won.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere justice was defeated
with all its advance advantages.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere, justice is fatally wounded
in the battle of self deliverance.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere, wanted justice is
dead without sincere mourners.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere, it’s justice wake keep
and no single attendee.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere it’s justice burial
and no one is aware of it.
It might have been otherwise.

Somewhere, the justice grave
have no coffin, no grave.
It might have been otherwise.

Our justice is a body, no longer at ease.
Only selected few go in and out of it like
clothes. It might have been otherwise.

This somewhere!
This otherwise!
It might have been otherwise
