Emerging reports claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, December 12, referred to the minister of state for environment, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibrin as “Your Highness” at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. Daily Trust reports that the meeting took place Council chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja no sooner Buhari arrived at 11:01am than the National Anthem recited. After Jibrin offered the prayers, the president requested the minister of state of health, Osagie Ehanire to offer the Christian version of the prayers.

In attendance at the meeting are the secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha, national security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, head of service, Winifred Oyo-Ita and 25 ministers. At the end of the FEC meeting, the ministers would brief the State House reporters on the outcome of the meeting. Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the special Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Buhari approved the 2019 budget proposal. The approval was granted during a special FEC session held on Friday, December 7. The special meeting reportedly started by 10am and ended by 1pm at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Addressing the State House correspondents after the meeting, the minister of budget and national planning, Udoma Udoma, said presidency will liaise with the National Assembly as regards the time President Buhari will submit the draft estimates for consideration.
