There was mass protest by youths and other interested indigenes and residents of Jos who matched from Old Airport Junction to the New Government House in Little Raulyfield Jos, demanding audience with the Governor (Simon Lalong).
The Youth who matched in their hundreds were denied entrance into the Government House Premises by security men.
After trying to force their way into the Government House, Police fired shots at the protesters who were later allowed to go through.
The Governor was reportedly absent as at the time they arrived.
Sources have alleged that the protest turned violent when it was clear the Governor was not around to receive them.
The video below was sent by one of the protesters showing movements within the government house.
The protest is coming after men suspected to be armed fulani militia laid siege on Gashish District of Barkin Ladi (Gwol) LGA, killing over 200 villagers and sack thousand into displacement in 11 communities.
Condemnation of the killings have come from well meaning Nigerians and the international community, calling for arrests.
However, the leadership of Meyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACABAN) has claimed responsible, alleging that the killings were a retaliation as a result of cattle rustling.
Security forces are yet to make any arrests despite revelations of the identity of perpetrators by the leadership of Meyyeti Allah as at the time of filing this report.
