After a 5 year hiatus, ARISE Fashion Week is back in 2018 with a bang. So far we’ve seen British supermodel Naomi Campbell walk the runway and some of our favourite African supermodels, Oluchi Orlandi and Ojy Okpe. BBNaija‘s Leo Da Silva also made an appearance on the runway on Day 2 for menswear brand, Kimono Kollection while Nollywood veteran Richard Mofe Damijo also walked the runway for Taryor Gabriels.
British rapper and now fashion designer, Tinie Tempah showcased his What We Wear collection for the first time in Lagos on Day 2 and to close the show, he came out with Olajumoke Orisaguna – if you remember, she’s the bread seller turned model who was scouted after photobombing a photo shoot Tinie did with TY Bello for a spread in ThisDay Style in 2016. Tinie’s runway presentation was a star-studded display with performances by British artiste Not3s, and Dice Aileswho closed the show with his hit song, Otedola.
Day 2 of the 3-day fashion event also had 2 fired up musical performances by Seyi Shay, an interview session with Naomi Campbell by Lola Ogunnaike and a short fashion film by Ozwald Boateng just before he closed the night with an amazing collection.
The About That Curvy Life Collective also made an appearance this year on Day 1, with Media Personality Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi walking for FIA Factoryand Tajé Prest for Sally Bawa.
