It was a gathering of young and great minds at the maiden edition of Ajuwaya, an initiative of some Nigerian corps member who thought of ways in helping youth corps members integrate easily with the entrepreneurial landscape during their service.
The aim of Ajuwaya is to create a platform that offers corp members the best there is in the state which they are serving in terms of business networks, fund sourcing opportunities for those with brilliant ideas and access to a ready market for whatever goods and services the corps members would love to engage in.
This came from the observation that most corps members felt frustrated as they tried to settle in their states of service and engage in some entrepreneurial activities due to the fact that most times they are thrown into new environments. Therefore, before they get settled and acquainted enough with the environment to start marshaling out their creative ideas, some of them find that the one year is already gone and then, trying to start anything would seem a waste of time. Hence, they just let the year pass without even trying. But, ajuwaya, offer learning opportunities for the corps members on various capacity building areas with emphasis on entrepreneurial support and opportunities.
The theme of this edition of Ajuwaya was PASSION AND INDUSTRY. They speakers were MR.
