The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, says two soldiers allegedly involved in the attack on Nigerian Union of Journalists secretariat in Abia state have been arrested and are facing trial.
On Tuesday, a group of soldiers stormed the NUJ secretariat and attacked some journalist who they accused of falsely reporting the clash between some of its officers and members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.
Speaking in an interview with TVC earlier today, Usman said two soldiers have been arrested and are currently facing trial.
“Two soldiers allegedly involved in the attack on NUJ Secretariat in Abia State have been arrested and facing trial” he said.
