In Nigeria, the final word of the year is “Fuel” and it is commonly associated with its best friends, scarcity and theft.  But, Oluwatobi, an imaginative Nigerian is working on two innovative solutions.

Oluwatobi Oyinlola is an Embedded Systems Engineer, Inventor, IoT Evangelist, Tech Speaker with an extensive experience in Embedded Systems Design, IoT, Robotics and Firmware engineering.

Hyperloop Pod

Oyinlola’s team won the competition known as Hyperloop Pod competition. Hyperloop is a proposed mode of passenger and/or freight transportation, the competition focused on a single criterion maximum speed that makes all Pods self-propelled.

The Hyperloop competition was launched by a technology company known as SpaceX, a company founded by Elon Reeve Musk.

The Hyperloop Pods are high-speed trains in layman’s terms. The pods uses the Hyperloop system to reach destinations on time.

Hyperloop is an alternative to short distance air travel, where the system will be much faster than the normal rail networks we are used to and much cleaner than air travel and less carbon footprint in our environment.

Internet Of Things

In Nigeria, fuel stations are prone to have sales men or women managing them, which is almost uncommon in most developed countries. This system leads to a lot of inconclusive financial accounts but for the owner and the customer.

In search of a solution to this menace, Oluwatobi Oyinlola, came up with an Automatic Dispenser System that provides real time information on the internal status of the storage container to a remote technical personnel with capabilities of accommodating the various needs of the owners/customers, including an alarm system for when certain conditions are breached.
